Russian company Solopharm has started to build a plant for production of tablets and capsules with an investment of 3.5 billion rubles. So far, the company specialized in the production of liquid dosage forms and by this step is entering a new market segment. The groundbreaking ceremony took place last week in St. Petersburg.
It is planned to launch the plant in the first quarter of 2022. The plant area will be 11 559 m2 and the production capacity of manufacturing lines will reach 2 billion tablets per year. It will also serve as high-tech workplace for almost 200 employees.
The plant will be built using innovative modular design – glass partitions – so-called "flexible walls". This will allow to change the configuration of the premises without stopping production in a few days and thus quickly and flexibly respond to market needs.
